This book is a compilation of studies arising from and/or related to the research project 'Espaços e vivências do período português no Norte de África: cidades e vilas do “Algarve de Além-Mar” (séculos XV a XVII)', with the acronym ESPANAFRI, conducted between 2016 and 2019 by CHAM - Centre for the Humanities of the Nova de Lisboa and the Azores Universities, and Lab2PT - Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage and Territory of the Minho University.
