The transformations in the media system brought about by digitalisation and the Internet have paved the way for the diversification of forms of audio expression in journalism, which are no longer exclusive to the radio medium. The podcast, the incorporation of audio into news on websites or transmission via streaming are just some of the new forms that sound journalism has taken on in the last two decades and which call us to face a series of new challenges in terms of narratives, professional routines and even professional ethics. The book “Sound Journalism — from radio to audio” seeks to bring together some of these contributions in order to motivate a debate on new professional practices in the field of sound-based journalism.
