Synopsis

This work by António Rei was carried out as part of his post-doctoral scholarship, granted by the Foundation for Science and Technology, and was carried out over the three-year period 2008 - 2010. The Gharb al-Andalus al-Aqsâ in Arab Geography (3rd / 9th centuries A.D. - 11th / 17th centuries A.D.) is a collection of Muslim authors who wrote about the Iberian Peninsula, bringing together passages that, more specifically, dealt with the area that corresponds to present-day Portugal, covering a broad period from the High Middle Ages to the 17th century of the Christian era (3rd to 11th centuries of the Hijra).
